Addiction Economy Thought for Today - is the pressure against Big Everything building?

It seems that campaigning against unhealthy foods, cigs, alcohol goes in waves. Perhaps it's a hammer looking for a nail, but I feels to us like it's building again. And the Bigness is key.

Financialisation incentivises the 'sales at all costs' mentality and its expression through the 5 Economic Drivers - highly tuned product addictiveness, inescapable availability, predatory marketing, disinformation and undermining policy action which makes the 'Big' the main problem.

Here's a new one we signed this morning keeping 'Big Soda' out of sport.

I am very embarrassed to say that I didn't really get how bad these sugary drinks are until fairly recently. The addictive ingredient is caffeine and the harm caused mainly by the sugar. Still having my one Diet Coke at lunch though despite growing concerns about cancer from aspartame!
