Young people will tell you what’s cringe if you ask them

Addiction Economy Thought for Today - how to stop young people vaping and help those that do quit.

Good but limited article here on how to make vaping uncool.

Our proposal on that was to crowdsource solutions from the young people themselves and not just academic experts and behavioural scientists and have the voices of young people be front and centre. Also as Joe found when researching for his film, finding out how companies are manipulating them was helpful in helping some people feel it might not be for them.

But structural limitations like price, packaging and availability work best as far as we can see, public education programmes from government and schools are really limited in their effectiveness. Peers and influencers matter.

Unfortunately couldn't get sponsorship for some exploratory workshops with them, but conversations with Labour health team suggested they like the idea and may be doing it, who knows. When Joe returns from travelling we will resurrect this.

If anyone fancies funding something on that, let us know!
