Vaping companies and the 5 drivers

Addiction Economy Thought for Today - Ahead of the House of Lords debate on Monday on vaping, we are getting asked why is vaping such a problem with young people? It really is dead simple.

Vaping companies use the 5 Drivers of the Addiction Economy, a playbook learned from cigarettes, alcohol and unhealthy food companies to undermine their ability to control their usage of vapes - ie addict them.

Something really worth bearing in mind for the Lords debate on Monday James Bethell - there is no mystery about the jump in usage of vapes among young people. This is not 'substance abuse' as people call addiction to these type of products, it is the products being used as designed.
