Nestle sweetens baby milk with sugar…
Addiction Economy Thought for Today - Number I of the 4 components of our Economic Model of Addiction is the use of addictive ingredients or design elements to undermine people's ability to control their use of a product - Nicotine to vapes, sugar to drinks etc.
This really takes the prize for the most disgusting manifestation of this addiction economy scam from Nestle. Sugar we know is an addictive and harmful substance (hence sugar taxes), so why not add it to....baby milk.
Thus ensuring that (a) the babies will love the milk as it is sweeter than breast milk or other milk, and (b) will give them that early taste, even craving for sweet things, to help sales across the Nestle portfolio as they grow up.
Just wow. No words for this.
This also shows the importance of international standards and enforcement of laws. They will use every single loophole to sell their products in countries which don't have strict laws or strong enforcement. Shameless.
