This is what you get when successive governments fail to act to prevent smoking, so persuade themselves it’s OK to allow vape sponsorship of football teams, vapes with flavours and colours clearly designed to target children, ubiquitous availability on every high street and mealy mouthed companies and trade associations to get away with barefaced lies at every point of the process - all in the name of helping smokers quit.

Smokers we speak to don’t want young people's addiction on their conscience. The voices of smokers and young people are totally absent from this debate.

Here are our ideas on how to prevent vapes becoming society’s new ‘acceptable’ addiction whilst helping smokers quit.
